🚪🔐 NEW DOOR INSTALLATION – COMMON PROBLEMS & WHAT TO WATCH FOR 🔧⚠️

Just installed a new door and already having issues? It happens more often than you think — and if it’s not fixed properly now, it can turn into years of problems 😬

Here are the most common issues we see on new installations:

🔹 Adams Rite Push Paddle Jammed
➡️ Often caused by misalignment during installation
➡️ Posting screws may be off ⚙️
➡️ Paddle cam not centered (left/right issue)

🔹 Deadlatch Problems (Even When New!)
➡️ Yes — even new parts can be defective ❌
➡️ Faceplate may be too tight → needs adjustment 🔩
➡️ Latch can stick inside frame

🔹 Debris Inside Lock
➡️ After drilling or adjustments, metal or plastic pieces can fall inside 🧱
➡️ This can block the mechanism and cause malfunction

🔹 Latch Not Catching Properly
➡️ Common with low-profile strikes (ex: RCI U65)
➡️ Door gap too tight 🚪
➡️ Latch gets stuck on strike and won’t lock

⚠️ IMPORTANT ADVICE
If your door was just installed, always call the installer first 📞
👉 Fixing it now = avoiding long-term damage
👉 Ignoring it = years of frustration 😤

⚠️ Warranty Warning
If a locksmith touches a brand-new installation:
➡️ Installer may VOID your warranty

This is normal in all trades.
